Directions

Gesell Institute is located at 310 Prospect Street in New Haven, Connecticut. If you are traveling by car, please be aware that parking is extremely limited. There are metered spots available on Prospect Street, but parking in the lot in front of our building consists of reserved spaces that require a permit during regular business hours.

Traveling By Air

If you fly into Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks/Hartford, Connecticut, you will land approximately 40 minutes north of the Institute. Obtain a car service to the New Haven/Long Wharf area, or rent a car and follow the directions below from the North.

You can also fly into any of the major New York Airports:
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK), LaGuardia Airport (LGA), or
Newark International Airport (EWR). From there, you may book a commuter flight to Tweed New Haven Regional Airport (HVN); obtain Connecticut Limousine Service from JFK or LaGuardia to New Haven, connect to an Amtrak or Commuter Rail train from NYC (below), or rent a car and follow the directions below from the South.

If you choose to use Connecticut Limousine Service, no reservations are necessary for the limo space for your return. From Tweed-New Haven and Long Wharf, you will need to take a taxi to the Institute. If you are staying at a hotel during your visit to
New Haven, call the concierge for information regarding hotel shuttle service.

Traveling By Rail

Amtrak trains may be taken directly into New Haven’s Union Station (NHV), approximately 10-15 minutes from the Institute, and taxi cabs are available at the station. Commuter Rail trains are also available into New Haven from NYC and several other New York and Connecticut commuter rail locations. Traveling By Car

From the North, take I-91 south to New Haven, Exit 3, Trumbull Street. At the end of the exit there is a traffic light. Go straight to the 5th traffic light (including the one at the end of the exit). You will now be at the intersection of Trumbull Street and Prospect Street. Turn right at this light and go to the second traffic light. Gesell Institute is just before the second traffic light on the left side of the street. Unless previous arrangements have been made, please use metered street parking.

From the South/West, take I-95 north to I-91 north to New Haven, Exit 3, Trumbull Street. At the end of the exit there is a traffic light.
